How to pick a perfect watch
Monday, April 12th, 2010Are you looking for a stylish dressy watch to go with an outfit for a wedding or a party? Pick something in silver if you’re wearing lighter colours, and pick a gold watch if you’re going to be wearing a warmer colour like red or yellow.
Some people have lots of watches and then wear a different one with every outfit. If you don’t have the money for this then pick one good quality watch that will go with everything. This usually means something plainer so pick a precious metal watch such as silver or gold in a classic design. There are some plated watches that will be cheaper for you too.
If you need a watch for work then pick something hard wearing and sensible according to the likelihood of you getting your watch wet! If you work in a kitchen or swimming pool then having a waterproof watch makes more sense. But if you work in an office it’s probably not so important.
Some people love chunky looking designer watches. These make a very definite statement about the wearer – and there are some very bold masculine watches that would look brilliant on James Bond out there!
For some people a pocket watch is a vital part of a formal outfit and carries a diginifed style all of it’s own!
Whichever watch you buy remember that it’s got a practical element too – it allows you to tell the time!
