What steps can you take to make sure you don’t get your bag stolen?
Don’t leave it anywhere! Always keep it with you. Bags with thin straps are vulnerable to being cut, so keep the bag across your front so you can feel it’s there easily.
Mind the loo – your bag is vulnerable from being pulled under the cubicle door, or it could even be snatched from over the top if you hang it up. You can twist a strap round the coat hanger, or put a coat over it when you use the loo, or put it on the back cistern or the loo. You could even ask a friend to hold it for you.
Don’t put your bag under your chair. Think about where it is, don’t hang it up on a coat rack in a public place!
If you put it under the table then remember it’s there and take it with you when you go.
